This site is for and about public houses mainly in and around the Nottingham area.
Myself (Brian Ash) and long time friend and drinking partner (Ray Edwards) have embarked on a crusade of visiting and reporting on the best (and worse) public houses within this area.
We hope to bring you the impressions of a visitor to these pubs and with the aid of a simple points scoring system, show these findings in an easy to understand format (a five star system whereby five stars = excellent through to no stars = very poor, see FAQ section for catagories).
For would be visitors we hope to bring a brief insight of what to expect.
Our findings are based on an initial quiet Monday visit with a return visit on a usually busier Friday (all visits are “early doors” around 7:00pm - 8:00pm).
